DURBAN – An emailed taxi driver carrying a passenger on M13 Fields Hill, west of Durban, rolled down an embankment on Tuesday evening.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said search and rescue services from Durban Metro Police, Ethekwini Fire and Rescue, RescueTech and SAPS were also present at the scene.
He said Netcare 911 responded to a collision.

“A rope and basket rescue system was put in place to retrieve the driver from the bottom of the hill,” he said.
He said that once treated and stabilized, the driver was taken by private ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
