Possible DUI collision on Peach Avenue leaves Jaime Martinez, 31, arrested
FRESNO, CA (December 15, 2021) – Authorities arrested 31-year-old man Jaime Martinez after a possible drunk driving accident on Peach Avenue on Sunday night.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Peach and Olive avenues.
According to police reports, Jamie Martinez drove recklessly in the area before crashing into a permanently closed store.
Martinez got out of his car and started chasing after the incident when a witness tried to stop him.
CHP later found Martinez drunk at a local Walmart where police performed a field sobriety test.
Additionally, at the time of his arrest, Martinez was reportedly on felony probation for a hit-and-run and drunk driving accident.
Officers eventually announced that he would face new hit-and-run and drunk driving charges. Currently, Fresno Police are investigating the collision.
