The Resident and Dixie Dean among TripAdvisor’s top 12 hotels in Liverpool


Tripadvisor has ranked the best hotels to stay in while visiting Liverpool.

Liverpool has so much to offer locals and tourists alike and there is a busy calendar of events taking place in the area in the months to come.

With bustling attractions such as the Royal Albert Dock and Aintree Racecourse, as well as being home to two Premier League football teams and the Beatles, there’s plenty of fun to be had.

Whether you’re looking for a place to stay while sightseeing or looking for a stay in the heart of Liverpool, here are some of the best hotels, according to Tripadvisor:

Claiming Tripadvisor’s highest rated hotel in Liverpool is The Resident of Seel Street.

The boutique hotel offers a unique combination of comfort, design and service and is a short walk from the Ropewalks, Liverpool city center’s design district for £66 a night.

Complemented by the rustic brick exterior, the hip, modern rooms come with mini-kitchens, free Wi-Fi, and free music on the HDTVs.

Without a bar or restaurant, The Resident offers discounts at some of the best restaurants in town.

According to the travel agency’s website, Quest Liverpool City Center is bringing “a new standard of apartment hotels to the UK”.

Located in the heart of downtown, guests can expect quick and easy access to local attractions and businesses.

Property amenities include a fitness center, meeting rooms, and business center in addition to excellent guest room facilities.

The 5-star rated hotel offers choice and convenience to guests at the rate of £60 per night.

Located at Keel Wharf and the Royal Albert Docks, these comfortable, fully equipped apartments and suites are suitable for the Liverpool traveller.

From £65 a night, guests can use the fitness centre, taxi service or even take the 20-minute walk to Liverpool Lime Street station to venture further afield.

With 45 nearby restaurants and 42 attractions, Staybridge Suites is one of the top three hotels in Liverpool on Tripadvisor.

A best-selling hotel on Tripadvisor is the Pullman Liverpool at Kings Dock, which costs around £80 a night.

For this price, guests can expect fantastic access to surrounding attractions such as the M&S Bank Arena or Liverpool and Everton Football Clubs.

It’s perfect for business or leisure – you can relax in style in the elegant hotel or book in to the conference centers, with additional event space overlooking the Royal Albert Dock.

This trendy and modern hotel, located on Jamaica Street, is in the top 10 best hotels in Liverpool, perfect for energetic guests looking to explore the city.

Escape rooms, bars and museums are close by at The Baltic, for nearly £100 a night.

Although it’s more expensive, guests can take advantage of hotel features such as a bar and restaurant with live music and events scheduled throughout 2022.

As one of the 2022 Traveler Choice Hotels, the Ibis Styles Liverpool Center Dale Street, Cavern Quarter Hotel is one to look out for when booking.

This pet-friendly hotel is located in Liverpool’s shopping district, just minutes from the city’s main sights.

Each of the 123 bedrooms has free Wi-Fi and is individually designed, for £62 a night.

Complimentary breakfast and 24-hour check-in round out the number 10 hotel on Tripadvisor.

The Hope Street Hotel is the ultimate family hotel with on-site children’s amenities and pets allowed.

The 4-star boutique hotel offers a unique and cool style, right in the middle of a cultural and trendy district.

As you explore the bustling city of Liverpool, you can be transported to Italy in the hotel’s brand new restaurant, 1931, or their award-winning restaurant The London Carriage Works.

The charming hotel Throstles Nest, located in the residential district of Scotland Road, completes the top 12 of Tripadvisor.

You can expect excellent customer service and cleanliness from the lovely hotel, which is on the outskirts of town.

However, the Royal Liver Building and the Royal Albert Dock are only a mile away, making it a quieter location.
