Rapido’s six-week “Smart ho, toh Rapido” campaign was a huge success following its launch in November. With the campaign, the bike taxi aggregator has seen 100% exponential growth in registrations on its app and achieved unprecedented reach, with daily active users of the app increasing by over 40%.

The platform had aired two TV commercials – one for the Hindi-speaking market (HSM) and the other for the non-Hindi market (Non-HSM) – in two phases as part of the campaign. Commercials directed by Sizil Srivastava (HSM) and Trivikram Srinivas (Non-HSM) starred megastars Ranveer Singh and Allu Arjun. The TVCs have been broadcast in OOH, radio, TV and various other digital platforms across India. The campaign targeted markets in 14 cities across the country.

In the first commercial, Ranveer Singh and Allu Arjun were seen in the roles of Babban and Guru. They guide daily commuters to avoid the hassle of traveling by bus and switch to a smarter option like Rapido. Babban and Guru return as barbers in the second commercial to give their clients tips on avoiding the hassle of car travel, avoiding traffic, and being on time with Rapido. Both films focus on the USP of the platform, so the bicycle taxis offered by Rapido can quickly cut traffic to provide fast, convenient and user-friendly journeys.
