Three-year-old boy was found wandering the streets alone “without shoes or coat”


A three-year-old boy has been found wandering alone on a busy street in Liverpool.

Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to the intersection of Smithdown Road and Upper Parliament Street around 9:35 a.m. today to report a child was alone.

A member of the public who spotted the little boy and contacted police also reportedly took to social media to describe the little boy as having been found “without shoes or a coat.”

Officers returned the boy to his home and police said he was “safe and healthy”.

A police spokesperson told ECHO: ‘We were contacted at 9.35am today (Thursday) to report that a three-year-old boy was found alone on Smithdown Road / Upper Parliament Street.

“The patrols intervened and the boy was found to be safe and well returned to his nearby home.”
